Castellum included in the Sustainability Yearbook for the eighth consecutive year

For the eighth year running, Castellum has been included in the Sustainability Yearbook, which ranks the world’s foremost companies in sustainability. As a property company, Castellum is ranked first in the Nordic region, first in Europe, and fourth globally.

Every year, the Sustainability Yearbook presents the companies that rank among the top 15 per cent in their respective industries, based on their sustainability performance. 9,400 companies in 62 industries were reviewed in this year’s edition, and only 759 were included. The purpose of the index is to guide investors towards more sustainable investment alternatives.

“Guiding investors to sustainable choices is key to driving the necessary transition. It is gratifying to see a growing demand for sustainable investments. It creates further incentive for companies like Castellum to continue adapting and making investments that reduce our climate footprint,” says Joacim Sjöberg, CEO of Castellum Aktiebolag.

The Sustainability Yearbook is produced by S&P Global, which is a world leader in credit ratings, benchmarks and analyses in the global capital and commodities markets and offers in-depth data and insights on critical business factors.

“Sustainability is an integral part of our strategy and business model. Our ambition is to continue to play an active part in the climate transition, thereby contributing to a sustainable future,” says Filip Elland, Chief Sustainability Officer of Castellum Aktiebolag.

Filip Elland sees three clear success factors for Castellum’s sustainability initiatives:

  • Our sustainability goals are linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with a clear road map to becoming fully climate neutral by 2030 at the latest.
  • Sustainability is an integral part of our operations, and is a priority for both the Board of Directors and executive management as well as managers and employees.
  • Our efforts are structured, and measurements and evaluations are conducted on a continual basis.
